Google My Business‘ set of categories is pretty limited in certain areas. When someone searches using one of the categories in Google My Business, it is easy for Google to figure out which businesses are relevant. For instance, if someone searches for "criminal justice attorney Denver," Google has a category for "criminal justice attorney," so all they have to do is pull the listings they have in that category from Denver.
